CHILDREN’S RESIDENTIAL (ID/DD)
1st Option Care Residential LLC provides comprehensive, person-centered residential services for children living with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) and Developmental Disabilities (DD). Our goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment that promotes independence, personal growth, emotional stability, and community inclusion.
Daily Living Skills Training
Support with hygiene, grooming, dressing, meals, toileting, room care, community safety, adaptive skills, and independence-building tasks.
Person-Centered Care
Children are supported based on their strengths, abilities, preferences, and developmental needs. Every child has opportunities for choice, engagement, and self-expression.
Behavioral Support & Monitoring
Implementation of trauma-informed strategies, reinforcement systems, redirection, and crisis prevention techniques consistent with DBHDS standards.
Medical & Health Supports
Medication administration, seizure monitoring, G-tube care (if applicable), vitals, nutrition oversight, appointment coordination, and documentation per licensing requirements.
24/7 Supervision & Support
Continuous in-sight and line-of-sight supervision tailored to the child’s safety needs, communication level, and behavioral profile.
Educational Collaboration
Coordination with schools, IEP teams, transportation services, and behavioral/academic supports to ensure continuity between home and school.
Safety & Risk Management
Elopement prevention, environmental safety checks, human rights protections, incident reporting, and emergency preparedness procedures.
Community Integration
Structured activities that promote inclusion, socialization, recreation, and developmentally appropriate outings in the community.
Family & Guardian Collaboration
Open communication, support with visitation, monthly updates, and involvement in plan-of-care decisions.
